I am a total hoarder of little tins and cans leftover from things like spices, tea leaves, baking powder or mustard powder. I have even been known to buy the product just for the tin, whether I was going to use its contents or not. Once the packaging has any sort of vintage vibe, retro design or fab fonts, I’m their mama! I will admit to having a huge stash of them housed in the shed but I also like to keep a good selection on display around the kitchen in particular.
Besides looking pretty, these little guys are handy to store utensils or keep a selection of cutlery in on the kitchen table for meal time. They are a fun way to serve cake pops, pretzel or breadsticks in. Make them look even more charming by popping in a pot plant or arranging some fresh herbs or blooms inside. In these cases I line them with some tin foil first, as Ive found the water can trickle out the bottoms otherwise. Make good use out of them as a pen pot on a desk or as a make up brush holder on a dresser. The possibilities are endless so why not get your stash going and get creative with what you can use them for?
