It’s not just no-bake bakes I’m all about; it’s fake-bake bakes too! These sponge cupcakes are a fun and easy DIY for kids of all ages. Better still, they’re super inexpensive to put together and you may already have the supplies lying around your home.

For these extra-sparkly cupcakes, I used kitchen sponges in various colours, as well as craft paper, glitter and pom-poms. And because you can never have too much bling in your life, I’ve also added some self-adhesive sequins. All of these can be picked up cheaply in euro or pound stores, craft shops, online stores or places like dealz and Mr. Price (here in Ireland).
